I think i will go out in search of pike tomorrow, but i'm not sure where? i live in the kitchener/waterloo area. what spots are good this time of year like an hour away? Thanks

Shades mills in Cambridge has pike. Need a boat though to get to them and most of the grand has them as well. But the grand is way to high to fish right now. umm little lake and puslinch lake has them as well but you need a boat.

We pounded the lower grand close to the mouth this weekend and got a pair of huge cats, 4 small cats, one 30 pound carp and some nice perch at the mouth, as well as sheepshead and some silver bass. Great time!
Sorry to go OT (one of the few areas of ontario i have never fished is kitchener/cambridge so i cant help you there)

Nice man, Pics?

st jacobs dam, conestogo river, bloomingdale, punslinch, wrigley's ponds and speed river in cambridge/guelph all have pike...

from what i've experienced, the fishing in kw isn't the greatest. i'd head up to elora and fergus.. great pike fishing up there.

Heard confirmation of gar pike in Conestogo river.

This surprised me as they should be easy to spot, and I have yet to notice one.

They are probably seen as a nuisance fish to some - but I'd love to catch one!!
