PIKE/TROUT fishing tomorrow at harbourfront

hello fishing ppl of ontario..... im heading out tomorrow to the harbourfront area to c if i can catch anything.... it looks ice free from my condo and im itching to cast a line... ill let you guys know if anything happens.....

Good luck to you! I don't know if the pike start roaming the shallows as of yet. But by all means, go for it!

On warmer sunny days there used to be some pike down there in the winter....Think its too cold now though but who knows

So what a day.... i woke up in the morning and saw that it was snowing hard downtown... this all happen around 830am... so i made some breakfast and let time go by... around 1030am i headed out... thank god i bought myself my BPS GORETEX parka and bibs... strongly recommend them if you guys wanna stay warm in this weather.... anyways i spent 4 hours in total and caught a PIKE.. yes a PIKE.. about 1.5pounds.... just one but loved it.... my setup was a 7'6 Medium rod with 20lbs Flurocarbon... using a Rapala deep diving bleeding lip tail dancer.... .... slow retrieve with a baitcaster.... im thinking about going out tomorrow but there is a cold alert out and i think no smart fish would come out lol... oh I caught the fish around 1230-100 it was nice and sunny... good day in all.... i just kept walking along the harbourfront until i hit spadina......

Wow, good on you for going out today. I was frozen just waiting for the bus getting to school downtown.
And even better to have a fish show for it!

I really want to go out there and cast now.

I was going to actually try myself during the mild spell we had. A couple of the local honey holes were ice free when I checked them on my way home from work but never made it out. I think I might go Sunday whens its a bit warmer and hope that there is still some open water a my favourite spot.
