I'm kinda limited to the Winona area and am definatly struggling to get into big fish besides for the salmon run and carp fishing(which I'm new to and sucks at)

Has anyone fished fifty and have some tips?

Hamilton folks I know of usually travel East or West when it comes to Salmon.Ask dad to go a bit east .

Hey dude,
I am from the Hamilton mountain (not far from you) and have been fishing around this area for quite a few years.

What kind of species' of fish are you looking to hook into?... There's lots of great places that hold a diverse population of fish.
The Niagara River is one of my favourite places to fish - many different species of fish, and it is best fished by bottom bouncing or float fishing a medium sized minnow; you can hook into just about any species there, and generally because of the more hostile/strenuous environment it will usually be a tough/hard fighting fish!

The lower stretch of the Grand River can also yield some very nice fish... I've caught numerous monster smallmouth there, good-sized walleye, and numerous good-sized pike in the Grand River.

Shoot me a PM and I'll send you some spots if you'd like.

cheers!

Hi JordanMCK, Do you mind if I send you a PM as well? I too struggle to find half decent spots to fish from shore. I see lots of water but don't know where to access it half the time lol.
