I plan to go to lake simcoe to finish this weekend, but I don't know whether it is allowed yet, I heard the season opening at the end of April. If that is true, is there any place that is allowed to fish now????

From the Regs: Region of Durham

Page 85 says.. Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout and Pacific Salmon Open all year.. All waters lying between the southerly limit of the CNR right of way and lake ontario.. North of RRs don't open till 4th sat in april.

You can fish Simcoe at this time of year. The following species are open and can be caught legally:

Perch, Crappie, Sunfish, Pike, Catfish.

Check the regs in Zone 16 for any exceptions.
