Police Presence

The last 2/3 Fridays fishing in oakvillle river system i have met Halton Police, it seems like they are filling up the gap that the MNR is missing. They said just call the police next time you see an illegal poacher and report it, try and get a picture or plate number. By law a police officer is considered a Conservation officer and can charge under the Fisheries Acts.

yep Ive been seeing the marine unit down there a bunch, its good to see them halton cops aint got nothing better to do anyway lol I got pulled over for not signaling a while back and 4 cruisers showed up!!

Yeah always cops down there now, just need to get em some waders hahaha.

That's good to hear. Way too much poaching going on there last year. The place looks like a pig stye after the first weeks of salmon. I haven't bothered going this year.
