I would try both: Queenston and Port D.
The "Whirlpool" is extremely dangerous and really is only accessed by the large tourist JETBOATS.

Keep in mind that both Port D and Queenston have very fast flows.
I hope you are experienced with both or have someone of experience in the boat with you (SAFETY FIRST)

There are some really good DRIFTS only accessable by boat at Queenston.
At Port D, you can go right up to the BUOY (Before the power plant honey hole - DOUBLE CHECK REGS on That one)
