Questin about my boat.

I have a Lund DLX 14 foot deep and wide boat. The specs on the hull say that max HP 25 outboard and weight of 200lbs. I recently just bought a Mercury 4-stroke outboard - it's weight is 163lbs, it looks massive on the boat, but it seems to float and drive and handle fine... but some people at dock commented saying that 25 outboard is to big for that small boat-yet if falls in the requirements as stamped on the hull.

What do you folks think?

You are perfectly fine. My boat is also maxed out at 90hp and it came from Lund like that.

If the rating says your good then your good. Lund are the top of the line Deep V Boats in my opinion and I drive a 19ft princecraft with a 175. If you are comfortable and the ride is smooth then let the other people at the dock just watch you rip off aha.

I have a 14 prince craft pro 142. It's rated for a 20 but I run a 25 no problems. The four strokes doo look huge
