Hi everyone,

The following is a sampling of the fish we caught during week one of the Great Ontario Salmon Derby including one Chinook just over 25 pounds.

We have also been experimenting with a cannonball camera setup to add to the angles we already have and have included a few rough sequences in this video. The next video to be posted will be just a compilation of the best from those cameras - some cool footage and it's interesting watching the salmon and trout behaviours just prior to the strike.

For those interested, most of our fish during the week came from the balls set at 80, 90 and 100 feet in 100 to 315 FOW and the wire dipseys on the 3 setting back 250'. Predominantly a flasher/fly bite with greens being the most productive and a number taken on spoons, also glow green with dark spots.

Hope you enjoy,

NICE VIDEO ... as always!

You did make my day ... *SMILES* I have been preparing my HOME MADE GLOW SPOONS for the PIER SEASON.

Ordered Glow Blue & Green Pigment.

I do not have an airbrush ... nor the artistic skills or patience to make "wonderful lifelike" patterns on these spoons.

However, My GUT & INTINCTS and EXPERIENCE has taught me that, they dont have to be Super realistic anyway.

Let's face it, at night or in the dark ... 100% reality isnt what a FISH needs to trigger the bite anyway.

So ... I did my best and went with Green ... and Dark spots (Made with Black Nail Poilish)

By your accounts ... sounds like I "accidently" hit into the right combo.

I sure hope so!

Thanks for the TIPS.

As soon as i Nail some at the PIERS, I shall let everyone know.

Wow, great footage! Thanks a lot...Loved the part where fish went for the lure several times to finally hit it

You guys have more camera than they do for Soccer World Cup final !!

Cheers

Thanks for the comments everyone!

Blair, you'll do well with those spoon. Green glow with black spots has been our top spoon produced second to green/silver flies behind glow/spotter Spin Doctors.

getin - some of the latest underwater pre-strike footage we have is awesome. Some of fish following for minutes, slashing at the bait a few times then leaving. We'll be posting that footage in a separate video soon. As for the Wold Cup cameras - I just wish we had as many viewers!!

Thanks again for watching
