Hello All,

I'm looking for the middle section for a Raven Matrix IM6 Float Rod. If anyone has a broken rod with this piece available for sale please contact me.. If not and someone can direct me to a source where one might be available it would also be appreciated. I tried Raven directly without any success hence this request here..

Thanks to everyone for taking the time to respond in advance,
Triniboy….

Surprised raven won't help you. I managed to get them to replace my smallest section last year without sending them the piece. Maybe see if the guys at the local tackle shop can help convince them. I think it cost me 35 plus shipping. Good luck

Long story short slid in mud and stepped on the sucker when I was releasing a chinny. It's totally my fault for being careless no excuses there. :-(

I thought they would repair or replace your rod as per their warranty. Even if you dont have a receipt, you should be good to go. I got this off their site below:

RAVEN Rod Lifetime Extended Coverage and Warranty Raven Lifetime Coverage - We will repair any Raven rod (IM6, IM8, IM9 and RV9) that is broken, for any reason, for the lifetime of the original owner. The broken rod, in its entirety, and the original dated receipt must be returned postage paid to Anglers International Inc. for repair or replacement. A fee of $35.00 will apply for any broken rod section replaced. A fee of $65.00 will be charged if the entire rod is replaced. Taxes and return shipping charges apply. Raven 1 Year Warranty Against Manufacturing Defects - Raven rods are warranted against any manufacturing defect for one (1) year from the date of purchase. The broken rod, in its entirety, and the original dated receipt must be returned postage paid to Anglers International Inc. for repair or replacement. Please note if the receipt is not sent with the rod, the repair will be completed under the Raven Lifetime Coverage program. Any misuse, damage, modification or unauthorized repair automatically voids this warranty. Return shipping charges apply.

RAVEN and MATRIX Rod Return Instructions 1) Please send the rod insured for full value and ensure the courier provides a tracking number. Anglers International Inc. 74 JAMES ST OTTERVILLE ON N0J 1R0

2) Make sure the parcel is well packaged (with packing paper or bubble wrap) in a sturdy tube or box. The ends should be solid, not just tape. A local tackle shop or carpet store should have tubes available.

3) Include all rod sections, so we may ensure the replacement section has a perfect fit.

4) We accept payment by VISA or MasterCard.

7) Include your daytime telephone number and complete return address with the rod so we can confirm receipt of the rod and the total amount for repair.

Raven should honour it, I had one of their old school first edition float rods IM6 11ft 3pc rod, I snapped the tip section when I left it in the trunk something must have fell on it in there. I called up raven and told them what model rod I had with a broken tip, they then told me it was a discontinued rod since the late 90s lol. However they still honored the warranty because I told them I had just bought the rod a few months prior to it snapping at a tackle shop. I sent it in and paid something like 60 something bucks and got a new 11.6ft im6 rod steelheader which was a current model rod. but mind you, this was going back to 2006, I hope their warranty is still as good as before.

Hi guys, Raven Matrix only has a one year warranty in which they will cover the replacement of the rod. Once the time expires then you on your own, they did offer to replace at a discounted price and I took that offer. Thing is I still have two pieces in good condation so if I can buy the middle section then I have a backup rod. From what I was told by Raven the IM's and RV's offer a different warranty than the regar Matrix. Also they indicated that the rod itself is so good the only the tip section would usually break and they have replacement parts to cover tips. The middle section and butt section if broken spell getting a new rod. Sucks but it is what it is.
