Back when I bought my new raven im8 i noticed the second guide from the bottom is not aligned with first big guide and the 3rd guide. aligned as in, the line will touch the first big bottom guide, DOES NOT touch the second guide, then touches the third guide. i thought it was broken so i kind of played around with it and "fixed" it.
yesterday i noticed on my friend's raven im6 11.6 same thing. Anyone else notice that about their raven rod? is it suppose to be like that? and if so, why?

Never had this problem with Raven, did you buy your rod at a store? I often find equipment on at a lot of these places sits on the shelf for everyone to have their hands on it weather they know how to handle it or not, it is like the demo car without the demo price. I pretty much buy everything from centerpinangling.com because they actually check to make sure the product is not faulty or damaged before it is sent out, and they don't kid around with the packaging either. When I received my 2 piece 13' IM-8 it was immaculate and perfectly aligned, no issues, (I am pretty picky so I spent about an hour inspecting it when it arrived). That is not to say that your rod is sub-par unless you made absolutely sure of its alignment before you used it as the eyes are very delicate and even transporting them in a vehicle can damage them.

You are led to believe that these rods are crafted in Canada! I Don't Think that is true!

A HANDCRAFTED ROD will cost you at least $400 dollars! You will get what you pay for!
I have mine built at backwoodsrods.com

Go have a look?

Dude has been trying to shill his rods on nearly every website he can for years.... LOL. As for OP, your rod guide was likely slightly misaligned!
