Ive noticed some pink/red ribbons tied to tree limbs on certain areas of the credit river. Do these have any significance? Possibly somebody is marking good fishing spots haha. Anybody else stumble across some?

...With that said, I've never been there so I don't know if it's hunting grounds. But, I know we use ribbon to mark for deer hunting.

Oh, I've never been... So I didn't know. Not sure what the ribbons there would be for then?? Hunters use bright orange/pink ribbon to track the way they came in the forest/bush... So they don't get lost. Also, some use it to mark successful hunting spots (for future hunts).

There most likely TRAIL MARKERS.

Course (2) other possiblilities I would hazzard a guess at:

1. Sometimes hikers or Dog walkers will put them up (For whatever reason)

2. They have been doing quite a SEARCH recently due to the "Body Parts" found in the Erindale Park area. I doubt this is the case, but you never know.

Sometimes there are also assessments for ground water discharge, Soil erosions ... list of possiblities could get endless.
Good ole fashion TREE MARKER, best was of marking a spot.

ps: Sorry about the dd post. Though i was adding to my original

They werent near any trails or anything like that. I walked upstream for a little and there were 2 ribbons tied to tree limbs that were over hanging the water. Could possibly be from some sort of testing, could be anything like you guys said. And also this is a lot farther north from erindale park and i did stumble across some before the whole body parts thing.

Land surveyors use a bright orange tape for marking general locations of property lines...
I've come across a few on my trib...you might also see wooden stakes in the ground...
