Hi All,

Looking for some public access points to fish either Rice or Scugog from shore (doesn't HAVE to be there but those are the lakes I'm semi familiar with). Looking for Walleye but not adverse to catching a few Bass or Perch for the heck of it . Not looking for anyone's super sekret spot of doom just a general "You're allowed to fish here and you might actually catch something". I MIGHT take my 5 year old along so I'd prefer a few options with steady ground (I'd prefer to not have my 5 year old fishing on the bank of hwy 7, for example.)

Might rent a boat but haven't decided if I want to shell out the dough this weekend or not.

Went to the pier in Ceaserea. Couple bites, but skunked otherwise didn't get out there till 11 though and didn't stay too long (tried Oshawa creek early this morning and my 5 year old had about enough.) Was a bit crowded, might head down there again tonight when it cools off a bit (and without the little one) if I don't decide to just go rent a boat tomorrow morning.

Time to go learn how to rig a proper drop shot.

Anyone have any luck using a Rapala F7 from shore? Almost picked one up but I was always a spinner and jig guy in the past and always fished from a boat.
