rice lake walleye

im heading up to rice lake from aug 24-30 and im looking to catch some walleye i was at rice lake last year and had no luck . most of the fishing ill be doing is from the dock and maybe go in the boat a couple times . any advice on bait ,day or nite , top water ? thanks
