My time on the water last weekend was quite limited again. I am getting burned out at work, working 60 hr weeks is finally hitting me. Not even finding time to post. I fished Saturday afternoon and evening as well as Sunday mornig for no more then a couple of hours each time. During the day I am finding the fish in deeper water 12 feet. Early in the morning they are shallower. There is one spot where they continue to be stacked up in deep water. Was catching a crap load, mostly of the cookie cutter size but a few decent ones.

I also hooked into a monster walleye and saw it and had it boatside. Had the net in my hand but came off. Would have definitly been my PB.

Also got pulled over for the first time by the OPP when I was out for a Sunday afternoon cruise with the wife and daughter. Spotted them from a mile away as there large GARMIN radar on top is a dead giveaway.

Anyways here are some pics from the last few outings.

That first one is an ABSOLUTE SLAB Dirk!

Nice pics and report as always.
Appreciate the info, update and tips.

Let me guess .... Slammers? ...lol

OPP had reports of a guy just slamming the bass, they had to have their presence known

Dirk, you are a machine, another stellar report.

Slammers yes, I highly recommend them.

Dirk

You and GEORGIANBAYDRIFTER could write one of the BEST and SHORTEST fishing books in history!

It would be like one page.

For results use:

-JIGS

-SLAMMERS

period.

*SMILES* course in today's complicated (because WE MAKE IT) world of Marketing ... no one would believe you guys.

Your simplicity, confidence and results .... are a LESSON ("Reminder"?) for ALL!

Thanks

Would you mind elaborating a bit on you drop shotting setup? What size of weight do you typically use, size/type of hook? And do you ever drop shot from shore or just from the boat? I was attempting some drop shotting in a deep section of the conestogo not too long ago using powerbait goby immitations that are similar to the slammers. It seemed like I was probably using way too much weight on my dipsy or bell sinker and I think my hook on the drop shot was too small because I couldnt "texas rig" it properly. Or do you just hook it through the nose when drop shotting?

Drik, Just wondering if you ever participated in the Rice Lake tournaments? I believe you can win that?!
