Rice Lake Master
Didn't get a lot of fishing in this weekend. Went out Saturday morning for less then 2 hours and managed a bunch of cookie cutter bass, 7 or 8 in total with the biggest one being a minnow compared to some of the monsters caught over the last few weeks. Still fun catching the small ones though. I also managed to catch a couple of walleye from one of my bass spots.
Saturday night I went out for about 30 minutes before putting my boat into the lift and managed one 6 lb tank. Put up an amazing fight. A few flips out of the water, a nice run while peeling drag and a few sideways darts. After all that I was able to get a net on it and I was quite pumped. Headed in shortly afterward as there was thunder and lightning in the ares. We got quite a light show from the lightning and we also saw a strange glowing red light in the sky, not sure what the heck it was but I have never seen anything like that before. Made a video of it. It was not ambers from a campfire or fireworks as the strong winds would have put it out and it was far to high. I was joking that it was a UFO.
Sunday morning I woke early and the lake was rough and choppy and it was raining so I headed out at about 11:30am until 12:30pm and only managed a rock bass and one walleye. Was way to rough to be out, almost got tossed of the bow by a few rogue waves.
Weather was great on Sat, loust today and back to work tomorrow, man weekends go way to fast especially when it isn't a long weekend for me.
