rotary park duffins creek?

Hey I'm new to this forum and just want some suggestions. I went to the duffins creek marsh at the bottom of westney and didn't catch anything. I had a line out with corn and was casting a crank with another rod. Any suggestions on where to fish or what to use. Also any other good spots around I'm in uxbridge and would like to catch a nice carp or catfish without having to drive too far away. Thanks a lot

If you're fishing for bass or pike, casting into random, open water won't produce fish. You've gotta find structure such as: logs(both surface and sub-surface), lily pads, weed beds, rock piles, etc. As for carp, I've never caught one so can't help you there. And yes, only one line allowed in ontario or 2 lines per person if fishing from a boat in open water on the great lakes.

Oh well thanks I had no idea. And there was weeds I was casting to but nothing that fish would be at i guess. Any good spots to go for catfish??
