Heading out for 1/2 day of Salmon fishing. My buddy couldn't make it this morning so I've got a seat or two open on my boat.
I know its last minute but if interested in heading out text or call me really soon.
I'd rather double our chances with 4 lines in the water :)

Hey Ben,

Do you know Ari? We both launch out of Ashbridges Bay... I'm thinking we could share trade secrets and take trips on eachothers boats... that would be kinda fun... I have no problem bringing my rods, reels and secret bait plus share the gas. Last Sunday the parking there was horrible, we were allowed to double park behind short trailers since they have room to get out. I havent been given a parking ticket there in 5 weeks of not paying since the machines wont take credit cards... I brine my own bait... I have a few good spots marked and hit 4 kings in an hour late Sunday just before the sun went down. I also have my Derby ticket. If interested PM me.

After 2 weeks of searching, I finally found where they are feeding... The schools of baitfish were amazing and the Salmon are showing up on the electronics everywhere... Did a figure 8 pattern for 3 days over it and I couldnt even keep track of my 2 rods... lol... everyone is out at Bluffers in deep water... good luck to them. I shouldnt be too cocky cause things could change quickly but if the temp stays the same for the next few days, I'm looking to bust out of work early.

Does anyone know how hard it is to land 2 salmon, while steering a boat alone? I would love to hear some stories. I didnt want to put the boat in neutral, it might give the second fish too much slack.... I didn't care about the balls bouncing off the bottom, I just quickly pointed the boat toward NY, lol, that should take care of that nonsense, slow turn though... dont wanna mess up the propeller or make fighting the fish tougher. I made sure to set the hook on both lines, then put the left downrigger in the most upright position... I went after the big fish of course with the most resistance. Took a while to get them both in and I missed 10th place by 3 ounzes.... definitely worth the effort and a ton of fun... Not a boat to be seen... I like when binoculars are zeroing in on an accomplishment like this... but... I'm glad they didn't.

Steve - I don't know Ari but I would love to share some tips and tricks out there. I was out there on Sunday and know all about the parking fiasco. I had to wait a long time for a spot. I think I got the last official spot before the double parking started. I just picked up some new flies. Hopefully I will have better luck with them.
