Hit up the Saugeen my friend. I got 2 bass around 4 lbs each near Walkerton a month ago. The Saugeen is great and bass and pike live through out the river system. A few musky make it their home as well as channel cats and some walleye I hear. There is also some native rainbows and browns if you find the right places. Add in some perch, rock bass and some "coarse fish" too, a day on the Saugeen can be great fishing.
Yes salmon and chrome on the river is great at the right time of year. But the Saugeen can not be beat for smallies and some pike. You may also luck into some skamania which is a crazy steelhead that jumps for the stars when hooked and runs in the summer. They were stocked years ago, in the '80's, but some are still naturally reproducing, not many, but some. I keep catching them.
If you are going to Port ( I hang around S'hampton when I am up there.) You can't go far wrong staying with the Saugeen.

Alfie.
