SE Ontario (Scugog)

Hey Guys went out to Caesarea dock at Lake Scugog on Saturday night for Walleye opener. Sat around the house till about 3-4 pondering if i should go out. Couldn't resist thought so me and a buddy manned-up. When we got there couple boats came in with their limits. so the fish are out there.

Waleye,Crappie,Bass,Sunfish,Rock Bass is what i caught in this area in the past.

Got the the area at About 6pm

Weather: Actuall-1. with wind felt like -9, Winds were to the southeast at over 45 clicks an hour. water was rough.

Gear: Diawa 6'6" rod/reel combo. line 10 pount house line from lucky tackle on Sheppard. (my favorite bait/tackle shop) 3/8oz white jig head with large minnows

Time Fishing: 4 hours. first fish caught 2hrs in. as i was about to call it quits.

Area. Mid part of Scugog of a pier, there is also a public boat ramp. parking for about 10-15 cars, and a port-a-potty.

I fished facing east. First Hit i didnt even feel it. unit i was about to reel in.

Directions: Take 401E toward Brock Street N
Merge onto Brock St S/ON-12 N
Continue to follow ON-12 N 24.5 km
Turn right at ON-7A E (signs for ON-7A/Port Perry) 2.8 km
Slight right at ON-7A E/Scugog St (signs for ON-7A E)
Continue to follow ON-7A E 12.2 km
Turn left at Regional Road 57 (signs for Regional Road 57 N/Durham/Caesarea) 3.2 km
Turn right to stay on Regional Road 57 4 m

The Night turned out better than i expected, with the 2 keeper couldn't have asked for more.

Great report spranga. Nice to see you have some success while braving the chilly winter-like conditions. I chickened out when I saw the weather so hats off to you on a great report.

Thanks. I do alot of shore fishing, due to buying a Cadillac insated of a boat, these were my options, chose the cts. Anyways headed to youngs point tonight. will get a report on how i make out.
