sherkston shores quarry?

hi there. great forum here! i'm heading up to sherkston shores for two weeks. has anyone fished the quarry recently? can you recommend a good spot there? i'm not much of an angler and i'm going with my 6 year old boy. thanks!

I fished it was a boy. Caught a few nice sized fish. I can't tell you what since my memory is gone. I think they were bass

There is some good-sized bass not to far offshore if you have access to a small boat

Sherkston was stocked with rainbows over the years, not long ago, 2007, 2008... not sure if they still stock it. Of course there are largemouth and panfish too in there, nice place to fish with family. The employees will tell you all the good spots. I would but it has been years lol
