Hey All

I get to go back to N. Van island this August and hoping to get into springs, lings, and buts!

Question is...anyone have any recommendations for shipping? Anything shipped would be frozen at -20 and vacuum packed so I would expect it to withstand a couple of days.

Cheers

I did this from Key West.

Hard sided cooler. Duct tape it shut. Use the whole roll if need be. Take it to the air port with you with an extra roll of duct tape in case they want to see what's inside. Pay the extra $25 for the additional luggage fee.

Or as the captain in Key West said just UPS it to your home.

Not sure when you went to key west but nowadays 100 percent it will be opened first if packaged like that

Last went to Key West 5 years ago. Everything was struck then but they didn't open my cooler at that time. It was X-rayed I am sure. The X-rays gave the fish a nice glow. Lol JK

In case anyone has a similar trip planned, a hard-sided cooler worked great :) The blue coleman from Walmart fit the linear dimensions for checked in baggage, cost less than $30 and when loaded was 50lbs (baggage weight limit).
