shore fishing destinations :D

Since i dont have a boat, im stuck on land. i've only been to a few fishing spots, all on shore. I have a list of fishes i'd like to catch, but im not sure if its possible to catch them from shore. Here's my list of fish, and looking for good destinations to catch em..

Perch
crappie
Silver bass
white bass
small/largemouth bass
pickerel/walleye
pike
musky

i know its not posible to catch them all in one location, but those that are possible to catch from shore, i've found that fish like live bait more rather than artificial ones. cant seem to find the right areas, or maybe thats a sign fishing is just not my forte.

im in toronto, and yes i do have a car. anywhere from 1 - 2 hours drive, lots say the fish are there, i just dont know to find them.

Well 4 of those species can easily be found downtown, I won't say more than that as they really aren't too hard to find if you do some legwork. Crappie are tough from a boat this time of year unless you really know where they are, wait until spring and you'll get some up in the kawarthas. For walleye, the locks in the Kawarthas are a good starting point. Silver bass and White bass are the same thing, most rivhers have some around this time of year at their mouths, try fishing worms on bottom for them, or small jigs work as well. I know of one spot where musky are possible from shore and it's not going to be mentioned, you may have a tough time with that one.

Lots of lakes in muskoka area carry big numbers on pike and such.

Try just driving and stopping when you think you see a nice place. Thats what I did last summer and have tons of lakes in my bag and depending on the species I know where to go! Lots of people told me where to go and tips and tricks but in the end you learn the best from your own search. Not discouraging because I don't mind helping out through PM at all but won't give out my hot spots
