sick & injured fish

ive noticed lately alot of Pike and bass ive seen have huge growths or gashes to their bodies. anyone else notice this growing trend?

From what I understand, the gashes on pike are post spawn battle wounds that got infected. Not sure about the bass...

thats what i was thinking..the bass has what looked like skin colored blisters/scar tissue alone one entrire side..was dying in the water..

yep, on one of the WFN shows they caught a bass that had a gash on his tail/side... they said it was after post spawn battles, happens to the males

Today at Simcoe I noticed a half-dead catfish swimming around the surface. It had a large, almost "scar" like mark on it's side, and smaller marks around the face of the fish. Is what this similar to what you saw?
