I have been a rabid fan of Les Habitants for longer than I care to say  . I remember such icons as Believeau, Richard, Big Larry Robinson, Lafleur, Dryden one of the most amazing goalies of all time ( just check out his stats.) and my favourite as a kid Yvon Cournyer.
Having beaten the hated Bruins in game 7 in Boston ( who says there is a rivalry between T.O. and Montreal, T.O. has sucked since the '60's.) now we are meeting the Blue shirts from New York. Price vs Lundquist. Recall the Olympic gold medal game.
Before 1993 the Canadiens never went 7 years without winning the Stanley Cup, it has been a long drought, but after beating arch rival Boston I think this may be the year they drink from the Cup again. They are very fast, they have toughness and a goalie who is one of the best on this planet.
Not to mention they are the only team from Canada that made the play-offs.
Chime in guys.

Price is the man, he carries montreal and I think he's the best in the nhl no matter if your a leafs fan or a bruins fan, you gotta admit it.

And I'm for sure not a habs fan either haha.

It wasn't an off game for Price, he was taken out of the entire series by Kreider who was sent out on a goons mission to do what he does best - take out goalies. It was a huge blow for Montreal, I was hoping that since we got past Boston the play would clean up a bit for the Eastern Conference Final but I suppose class is a hard thing to come by in the NHL these days.

Despite the end result Tokarski played well on Monday, he made a few mistakes but the goals that went in were all tough to stop with the exception of one. Were going to have to get a win on Thursday if we are going to stay in this one. I have faith Tokarski can get the job done, we just need the speed to pick up on the offence, settle down and stop making mistakes in our own zone and we can come back and win this.

I'd say that I hope Thierren sends out a 4th liner to take out Lundqvist and even the odds, but an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind and Montreal has more class then that.

I spent the majority of my life dedicated to playing hockey (was a goalie), and had the pleasure of training in Quebec with Francois Allaire for a few summers in my youth. Needless to say, I'm a Habs fan, and absolutely love watching Price play. I was disappointed to hear of his injury, but like NADO said, Tokarski hung in there.

Being a goalie, as much as I want the Habs to win, I can't help but be happy for Lundqvist - the dude is world-class, and if there is any goalie that hasn't won a cup yet that deserves to, it is him. So, if MTL comes back and makes it to the final, I'll be ecstatic - however, if NYR happen to come through the victor, I would love to see Hank hoist Lord Stanley!

That Kreider guy is a dirty player, including Price I think he took out three goalies this year with the exact same play. I'd like to see him get layed out in open ice. I'm Leaf fan :???: lol but I was rooting for Price to win the cup to go with his Gold medal. Not looking good anymore.

Not saying the Habs are dead in the water. They did out-play NYR yesterday.
Agreed Madoc, Lundquist is not only a great goalie, but a class guy. He shut Mtl down yesterday. 40 saves.
Tokarski played not a bad game, but the second goal was a bit soft.
Nobody is going to win a series, I don't care how good the goalie is if they score 3 goals in 2 games.
Habs just gotta come out and pound Lundquist Thurs? And I don't mean bodily injure him.

Price was the deciding factor in the Montral - Boston series. I think Tokarski showed that he can at least even the odds if not tip them in Montreals favor this series. We may be watching the birth of a new star, I cant wait for game 4.

Nah nah nah nah, nah nah nah nah, hey hey hey, goodbye! Sing it out Hab fans!
Screw you MuskieBait. LOL.
The Habs played a good series after losing Price in game 1 and that Tokarski kid played great, although his style makes him look like a goal could come at any moment.
The only reason Montreal isn't in the Stanley Cup Final is Lundquist, who stood on his head to make saves. Montreal totally out played NYR in a couple of the games they lost, but Lundquist won those games for the Rangers. A hot goalie can take you far in the play-offs and New York may win it all.

For me beating Boston was as good as winning the Cup and I think the Habs were drained from that series in game 1 against NY, which is really the game that cost them the series. Losing 7-2 at home and losing Price ( even tho as I said Tokarski played great ) was a back-breaker.
