So this past Sunday I get out for a few hours and try a different place that I've been told has all different types of fish. Since I haven't had a hit from so much as a sunfish I figured I'd give it a try. I spent a few hours trying top water, spinners, spoons, cranks, and plastics and not so much as a sniff! I finally call it a day and head for home.
I stop for gas and notice a young girl all frantic on the passenger side of her car with a toy gun trying to unlock her doors. Apparently with new cars if the doors are locked you can't unlock them from the passenger side. Since nobody was helping her at all I told her I'd have a look. Parked the car and went over to see if I could help. The window was down about 2 inches and she was pressing the button but nothing was happening. I asked where the keys were since they weren't in the ignition and she told me the center console coffee cup holder.
I laughed and told her I'd be right back. Went to the car, grabbed my rod and threw a lure on and went back...(got some REALLY strange looks I tell ya!) Two minutes later I had my "catch"! Snagged her keys out of the console! She looked like she was going to cry and I told her it's OK now...she says..."can I give you a hug"...
Made her day and mine also!
