went to back to rockhaven yesterday to try and pick back up on patterning the lake for walleye thats been a summer goal. surface temp was down from 84 to 72 degrees on average worked the points and saddles with 3-5 '' jigging minnows where we had successes trying to follow the fish back into shallower feeding areas and got none only about a dozen small bass, first strikeout on this new lake. while waiting for another boat to clear the ramp took a few casts around the dock..... first cast in was nearly perfect and wham huge hit and peeled out 100ft of 14lb braid almost felt like a salmon running from the peir, funny cause its not really that big but put the ten pound seaguar to its limits.

YOU DA MAN, GEORGIAN!!!! *bows, falls to one knee while removing feathery 14th century hat, sword clanking on ancient pavers*

:-D

... with a leader?

Nice one GBD.
That toothy critter must have been hanging out by the docks, feeding on the "feeling safe fish".

Better luck next time on the Outer Locals! They should produce at some point.

it was a 4 ft length of seaguar 10lb flourocarbon attatched to 14 lb spiderbraid with a nail knot. I pranged her right in the top lip but it was rolling alot boatside, didnt have a net so i had to gill sweep it.
