Hey everyone, this week I have seen a big drop in water levels in the river I am a regular at. It seems the number of fish had dropped off as well. Not even a hookup today! Are the conditions as poor other places? Will we get some more fish running after this wet weather?

Thanks!

Yep. Not enough rain this year. The fish are probably far upstream or sitting in the deepest pools on the river.

Yah it's slower for sure, i went out for a couple hours today and actually managed to do pretty well considering the creek I was fishing is the lowest and clearest I've seen it.

Im smashin em tomorrow! Unfortunately not enough rain tonight to change anything for the GTA tribs. Luckily im closed minded, you could tell me there is absolutely no fish in river X and id still say that im smashin em tomorrow! lol

That's the spirit NADO! Fish on every drift lol
I haven't been out to a Gbay trib since I got the pin so I was thinking of heading out to one on Sunday to try for some fresh fish. I always fish a good distance up river so I am yet to get one of the solid chrome steelies.

They're actually right at *** ***** ** *** ****** and are being caught in high numbers, I mean yes, they're far upstream.

haha yep right in da der crick past the bridge!! Cant keep em off! :D

Yea this week has been pretty slow, a few 1/1 outings but its better than nothing lol

Spoons seemed to be the trick this week, retrieved at a slow rate. One fish hit this week as I brought the lure a couple inches off bottom, as if jigging a spoon.

it's definately slowed down since last week for me anyways, only managed 6 little guys between my buddy and I. Tonnes of 1-3 pound fish around, have yet to see many large steel

Yup slow, low and clear in the lower section. They were there this morning but bolted as soon as I approached. Last week was good, went 4/6 not spending more than 4 hours on the water.
