Me, well I am Disspatcher....and I am a Dispatcher. ..who kan't spell..j/k one s was taken on an original board I was on. :lol:

my name comes from two things that are similar, the first time i caught a fish was in bala and i mostly fish for pickerel. the other meaning is that that the worlds biggest pickerel was caught in bala. all that leads to the name balapickerel :lol:

Mines pretty easy, my names matthew Porter, and i was born in 86, so porter 86, i use this name anywhere and everywhere i can. if i can't use it, i use mattporter or portermatt or matthew instead of matt. i dont have to much of a creative mind when it comes to this stuff, so i'm pretty original! it be nice to see everyone else's reason.

what was the book about?

The story behind the book is about a geologist who goes to Iqaluit (Nunavut's capital... well... Nunavut didn't exist at the time) in search of copper. He brings his son along as his wife had passed away in a car accident in Arizona. The son meets and discovers a new inuit friend in the small town. His dad goes off on a hunt for the copper from a helicopter. They end up missing. Soon, the son and his friend go off in search of the father on snowmobile and encounter many different experiences on their adventure/resuce. They soon come to a river full of gold.. it was described as you guessed it... Frozen Fire! They tried to bring the gold with them (bagfuls), but it would be extra weight and would be suicide. The snow mobile dies and they soon walk back to town.... only to become trapped on moving ice across a lake. They were facing death, when all of a sudden, a chopper finds them and brings them back into town. In the hospital the son asks about his father. Turns out that he was found and was also in the hospital. They finally reunite and the story ends there with the son and his friend smiling about their fortune to come when they go back for the gold!

I know, sounds pretty fruity... but I was a kid at the time and it was entertaining!

My username originates wayyy back in the 1940's when marvel comics created one of the most infamous villians of all time "The Red Skull". I collect comics as well as many other hobbies, and am a member of many different hobby forums, so i decided to just migrate my username from other sites rather than make a new one. Sometimes i sort of want to have a more suitable username for certain sites, as RedSkullz make me sound like a death crazed maniac.(which i am not :wink: )
