Somewhere to fill the gap

So I'm looking for some advice on where to fish in the oakville area.... (somewhere to fill the gap) between my trips to cottage. I have been told to try down by the pier in downtown oakville. No luck with anything worth fishing... Saw some carp moving around it's just not my cup of tea. Anyone who knows of anywhere decent to spend the afternoon ..? Any direction would be appreciated.

Damn carp are reluctant to bite.

Soon you will be able to catch Salmon at the mouth of Bronte Creek. Depending on the weather, the salmon will begin to stage there in the next few weeks!

any tips on a rod setup..? lures bait.?
i have never been salmon fishing, any tips would be apreciated.
