Son Caught an Atlantic

Son had a PA day today and went out to the creek, he was surprised no one else was fishing and pretty much had his choice of holes to fish. Said when he set the hook on this he thought it was a Brown but knew right away it was an Atlantic when it broke the surface the first time. Good job buddy, and to top it off he caught it on one of his own copper john pattern flies.

Browns can leap like there's no tomorrow as well, especially around that size, but that's clearly an Atlantic!

Nice! I saw an Atlantic yesterday...but couldn't get it to hit again...I say "again" because my buddy hooked and jumped it before I arrived. We tried everything but it wouldn't play after getting stung.

On a bead. We tried skein, stonefly nymph, egg sucking leech, spoons and kwikfish after but the fish just won't care anymoe.
