Had some fun fishing up north for some lakers and brookies at the cottage (30 minutes north of minden) . In all between 4 guys we caught 10 lakers, 6 brookies and a few splake. Ive attached a video that my buddy took of me casting earlier in the day up stream, we later moved downstream in the boat to some of the slower runs where the majority of our fish were caught. Although the fish in my lake aren't particularly large, they are certainly beautiful and all sorts of fun on a fly rod

Lakers do come up the river, they feed and they will crush a fly in 3 feet of water.... GO GET EM BOYS (and girls :D)

Here is a picture of the setup I was using, ACR (anderson custom rods) nova 5 wt 12'1 spey rod, echo ion loaded with a steve godsell custom cut scandi and airflo ridge running line... Flies were a mix of emerald shiner and smelt patterns... pretty much whatever we had in our boxes that we thought might catch fish

Also the unintentionally smallies that you tend to catch fishing said patterns (all fish were returned unharmed)
