This year i decided to give it a shot with spey fly fishing. I have been fly fishing for a long time and have decent experience switch and spey casting. And i did my homework reading up on different lines tips etc.
My question is from you experienced spey fishermen is what type of sink tip should i use for river that is in Mississauga and named same way that if you miss couple payment ruins your "....... " history :)

I think that 10ft T10 should do the job but wondering should i go higher grain like T14 and up.

Thanks.

Its depends on flow and how deep u wanna get. 10 ft of t10 is a good starting point. I fished the same are for a week in the spring. Went from t10 to just a fast sink polyleader over the week as the water dropped.im going to try the medium MOw tips this year as a full length of t10 isn't always necessary

IMO you're too heavy for that river, I use about 3 feet of T6 and get down fine (if you're going with weightless spey flies you'll need to go heavier though), I would say around four feet of T14 should get down anywhere in the river.

I guess like anything else i would need to go to the river and try different ones with different water conditions..

if the waters unusually high a t10 should be good but for how deep most of the spots are (talking the open all year areas) id go even lighter

t6 like chris said or maybe a touch lighter
t10 will get you caught on bottom a lot in most of the spots ive played even with proper tension

hell a lot of the spots arent even wide enough to appreciate a sink tip. in those cases a polyleader would be easier to cast (imo) and do the job

Yeah i figure that river is going to be hard to figure out. probably going to use lighter tips and start from there.
