Hi everyone!
So here I am - new to spinning but have some experience with float(bobber)/hook/worm setup
- got light 6'6 fast Shimano telescopic travel spinning with Abu Garcia 102 reel and 8 mono line, got few rapallas, mepps, vibraxes, spoons, some jigs and some artificial minnows,
-Tried out some local ponds which suppose to have some fish in it (Aquataine Lake, Kelso lake, Halton Falls, Terra Cotta )- all shore casting-retrieving. Not even one fish.
Am I doing something wrong? ,wrong lures? places? technique? Any suggestions on fishing destinations not very far away from Mississauga where I can finally catch something on my spinning? Can I use this spinning/reel/lures to fish some trout of Credit river?
Thanks !!

You have some of the right stuff...keep it up, I was out 16 times in a row, got skunked...they are there, sometimes it just takes time...some fish arnt in yet, some are spawning and not hungry...who the hell knows what they wanna eat, just keep at it, and ohhh...pike opens on the 2nd on Lake Ontario

Welcome!
Sorry I haven't been to any of the lakes. But the fishing should start heating up real soon. As the weather gets warmer, the fish will become more active! You should have the right stuff, but be aware that you should'nt be fishing for bass as of yet, so keep everything small! Bobber + worm OR artificial minnow will probably be your best bet right now

It depends what your fishing for in these ponds. Remember bass is not open yet in most places so it looks like pan fish is #1 in your situation. Try casting out a small float with live bait, if the pond is deep cast it out real far and make sure you have at least 4 or 5 feet of line from the bobber to the hook, also try out small crappy tubes.
