Hello there.

I remember watching videos from Action Angling about spring time (i think)...
spawn season fishing for carp/catfish from some tributary or something?

Is there a such a place very near GTA? I just feel like seating and wait for the fish sometimes.... you know. Just sit back, absorb some sun, listen to music...

Some informations would be appreciated.

Would be nice if it wasn't some popular public locations like Central Island where people are around watching you. But somewhere more peaceful if you know what i mean.

MikeyMikey, a few years ago I used to catch huge carp around this time of year at Lakeview generating station at lakeshore/cawthra.

There was also a creek nearby that was stacked full of carp, and I'm not talking about Marie Curtis Park. The creek is between Cawthra and Marie Curtis. It was so full of carp that I got tired of fishing for them after about 30 minutes. If they're in there you'll understand what I mean. You can see them by the hundreds. Just cast a hook loaded with corn into a group of them, and watch all the carp scramble to get to your hook first. I wouldn't even call it "fishing".

That sounds like so... well... illegal!?
It's like fishing from fish tank full of hungry fish.

Thnx for the tips openfire, I've been meaning to try fishing for them last year, ended up not even bothering due to limited bass-fishing time ;). Maybe I should give it a ago this time around, I always loved the idea of just simply putting corn at the end of a hook and not having to buy worms.

Yup, anywhere along the waterfront, not sure if they'll be on yet (need warmer temps), but you could also try the swan pond at center island, I think you'll have a better chance there.

Yup ;) I can't think of a place along the shores of Lake O. that doesn't have carp :D They're litterally everywhere !!

I haven't personally caught one before, but I'm planning on trying to catch one this spring/summer if I get a chance. I might even head down to center island tommorow or this weekend, try for some pike/carp.

Hehe Nice... Last summer, or maybe 2 now... My dad caught a 30+ pounder down at Fanshawe damn, thing was huge ;) I went out yesterday at random spots on the thames and caught a few and even got a little pike while I was relling in my work :D

yes i do know that waterfront is full of carps but... a place where i can actually be able to land is another thing.
