spring trout run

hello there fellow anglers , my name is don dunn i grew up in lisle but now live in calgary ab. i am curious about the trout run this spring and im sure its in full swing back there ... i have been away from home for a few years now and have been enjoying the fruits of the bow, crowsnest , oldman and livingston rivers in southwest alberta but i'm moving back to ontario around wasaga beach area but i haven't done much fishing up that way and i'm not sure witch rivers i should fish ? does anyone have any suggestions ?

I'm no expert but I would sat the notty is closest to you. If you don't mind going further north I'm sure you will find some prime spots

Hey don dunn ... I live in Everett , a stone throw from Lisle . Around Wasaga you've got all kinds of options , the Notty for one ... in the Wasaga area you can fish the mouth of the river and all the way up to the Boyne river mouth is open year round for steelhead fishing , although , there is a catch and release only section between Alliston and Angus . The river has many species to angle for , other than steelhead if that's not your prefferance . Beaver river in Thornbury is a short drive west along hwy # 26 and the Bighead in Meaford after that .

whats been mentioned are the big 3 in the area do some legwork and you'll find almost any trickle of a creek in the area gets something for a run. heard lots of reports that beach casting along 26 was hot this spring.
