I saw this on another forum yesterday, it is real sad. My condolences to the familly. Probably got snagged and wandered too close to the dam. I've seen it happen too many times there, people will wade up to their shoulders or right into the whitewater below the dam to save a roe bag and a hook. It's not worth the risk.

A friend informed me today he was not fishing. He was riding the current near the bait shop. Swimming.
I want to say hence stupid, but it is sad no matter what happened.
Be careful out there, especially after fall rains.

Ya he was swimming... You'd be surprised how many people have drowned at the dam. One of my dads friends drowned there while canoeing a while back. I'm always cautious while fishing around that area.
