Steelhead - help me find them in Zone 16

No one helped me I figured it out on my own by puting in leg work and skunked days and trial and errors its one thing to give advice but to literally put them on fish well hire a guide and pick there brain on the outing so many people have forgotten what fishing is about its about getting out there exploreing and learning and finally it all comes together and smash there's a fish what a good feeling but no one wants to put in the work they just want it handed to them its pathetic its the same with work too everyone wants to be at the top right now without paying dues and putting in the work what happened to the good old days???

welcome to the internet. back in the 'good 'ole days' you would ask the guy at the bait/tackle shop or if you saw someone having a good day, you would stop and ask them what theyre using, and maybe get a little advice. this is the same thing except remove the river
 
Na man never ever ask any questions always figured it out on my own I don't need to know if any fish were being caught I went and found out for myself and for the record fish are always biting you just need to find out what they are hitting and there are always dish you just have to find them
 
BS....some where, someone gave you advice, whether you read it or just from talking fish with someone. advice is hidden in many forms. hell, even the tourny fisherman will talk to locals before the event, along with pre fishing the area, its what makes them successful

yes you are absolutely correct I just wish people would get out there more rather than ask questions if you go out and check a spot and nothing on to the next and so on till you find what you are looking for and if at the end of the day no luck well look at the positive you got som exercise and fresh air and you now know the conditiona for yourself and can better plan for the next outing but ya I'm sorry if I come across as an asshole I don't mean to be its just my opinion half the time I'm kidding but It's hard to tell through txt

Wow man, I've been fishing a long time, and I ask everyone questions when I go out! How's the fishing, anyone catching anything, any luck yourself? What did you catch them on? I even ask guys with 5 foot snoopy rods and red and white bobbers, matter of fact I mainly ask them as they will talk to me, and tell me everything they have SEEN. They may, and most likely have not caught anything themselves, but they'll tell me down to the minute how many the 4 guys down river from them have caught. This gives me a quick snapshot of what's going on when I first pull in. I have caught piles and piles of steelhead, but I will talk to anyone and everyone if I think it will put one more fish on the bank! It's easy to assume we know everything, but I have picked up little nuggets of info from all kinds of sources over many years, and it's made me a better fisherman!

this exactly. you know we all watch fishing shoes just to see the fish, who cares about all the tips on presentations
 
Without the internet I wouldn't even know where to fish lol. I'd say most fishing knowledge nowadays comes from the internet, but learning to put it to use requires time on the water.

Beef, no need to worry or freak out. I do a FAIR amount of leg work for my fish. Ask any of the guys on here that I fish with. We all share spots and TRY and get each other into fish.

By NO means am I sitting at my computer, begging for a hot spot. I have traced my fair share of Google maps and got my self into many a fish. That is how I found half of the places I fish.

I only respectfully asked for advice and help. No one has to give it to me. I was only asking. Not demanding.
 
beef, I think you're prematurely judging someone here... if you knew GBA at all, you would know that the dude spends 95% of his time putting in leg work. He is a very respected member of the community here, is always friendly to others on the site, and is an all around great guy to fish with. Perhaps, if anything, you should take a page from his book.

That's my $0.02.

GBA, looking forward to us both getting on fish in the next few weeks man, a week without fishing is too long!

You guys are a bunch of babies your probably the same guys that snake into people's spots cause you can't find your own you start off with small talk and then bam you set-up and fish all because you see fish being caught if any of you fish the east often then you probably no me unless your wknd warriors then we would have never met cause I won't fish on wknds toooo many loogans and just cause you have a pin it doesn't mean your not a loogan

I'm not causing problems you guys and your soft shells are the problem grow up and be a man don't be like like a bunch of school girls and take everything to heart I must of struck a soft spot and that tells me there's a degree of truth to what I said cause if you knew what you are you wouldn't be offended you would have laughed and put it behind you
 
And to the troll comment don't come near my bridge I eat pussy boy's for lunch talk to me once your nuts drop and your voice stops cracking
 
Come on boy's its all in good fun I truly have no problem helping someone out and or divulging a bit of my knowledge but in my defense send a pm to some guys and ask your specific questions don't post them out there for all the lurkers to see the answers and to answer the original question any waterway that enters lake O anywhere no matter the zone has fish get out and find them even sewers that enter the lake have fish when they are blown and create a flow the fish come to the flow but don't go up they just sit in the lake and when the flow drops the fish swim over to the closest river
