Steenburg lake experience?

Has anyone here ever fished steenburg lake in Limerick township?

A buddy has booked a cottage up there in the next few weeks... the guide to eating ontario sport fish says that there are both largemouth and smallmouth bass as well as rock bass. Only fish I can catch would be rockbass, since sm and lm will still be out of season.

Is there any other species to be sought after here? Don't want to waste the opportunity...

I fish there! Although this forum was started a while back, theres plenty of smallmouth and largemouth bass. There is also a fair amount of splake (lake trout and brook trout hybrids)
