I'm currently shopping for a decent setup. Found this rod and will be pairing this with either an aventa reel or raw2.

Anyone had input on this rod?

I've heard that this rod is great for the money.

My buddy wants to buy one but isn't sure where streamside rods are sold....

Might have to pull ourselves away from the river bank this weekend and make a trip down to the big smoke... Thanks

very nice rods for the money...i have the 11'6 version with an aventa
i'm still on the fence on buying the 13'6" versions as it looks too long for me just by holding it. I might consider the 11'6 rod myself with an aventa as well. thanks.

Yes the steelhead special edition is the one I use in the winter I did get some freeze up but I think the paste should take care of that

And it's a very good size for small creeks to big rivers !! I have a 11,13 and a 17 foot rod and the 136 is my go to I don't use my 11 any more its a loaner and the 17 is a streamside and the blanks are indestructible !!! But heavy compared to the popular breads like raven, loomis and st-croix but for the money you can expect it to be a little heavier

Al Flaherty's as mentioned above is at 2066 Dufferin St. He's been there since the Early 40's. Great Place to go and just have a Look Around!

Only problem is it shows as being Out Of Stock right now.

Picked up the 11'6" streamside at Al's last Saturday. Take note, it is priced $69.99 at the store but they will give it to you for $61.50 (internet price). Very cool place (my first time).Old dude on cash was very helpful if you need help. Showed him what I was looking for and he knew right away the price is different so he gave me the internet price. They have the 13'6" as well but probably running low. I picked the 11'6" as I felt it's long already (i'm just 5'6"). Will pair this w/ an Okuma Raw ii.

Congrats on the purchase. I will put money down, after a couple of trips out. You will be looking for the 13'6"

Do you happen to know the price of the 13'6"? Also anywhere in specific for the Raw II? I am looking for a deal on a second float reel for the wife to learn on in spring. Or I can buy me a new one and give her my used one "You have to learn before I can get you a BNIB one"
