I was fishing the banks of the welland river trying to book a couple carp had a bit of luck we managed to land a few 12-15 pounders and strangely a bass took a bite of my corn covered hook

Bass will hit anything, buncha thugs. I've seen bass hit egg bags while steelheading, had a smallie eat my hair tie while I was snorkeling a few years back :lol:
