You posted totally to late. My buddy from Burlington picked me up at 10 and we went out.Anyone in the Halton area want to head out today and do some fishing??
We fish Bronte once in a while but I think it's still a bit early in the year for that. I don't think the salmon and trout will move in til the weather cools a bit and we get some more rain. I actually did a job down there a week ago and I walked down to the pier a few times and nobody was catching anything. We usually wait til later in the year when the fish are in the creek and fish around Petro Canada Park but walk away from the "crowds" or head up to near where the 407 crosses the creek. I don't fish for the salmon though, I go after the rainbows and browns that are feeding on the salmon eggs. Those fish are actually feeding and I hardly ever see anyone targeting them or maybe no one knows how to fish them. I often catch 10 rainbows in a morning while watching the salmon fishermen catch nothing unless it is snagged.Crappers!! I was waiting to see what was going to happen with the NASCAR race, thats why so late lol...maybe next time. Sweet I will check it out. I headed to Bronte pier last night for a couple hours, nothing, there was like 15 of us down there throughout the couple hours, no one was successful at all lol.
