Raise what objections you will, but this is the reason fishing with roe should be banned outright...
We approach the access and this guy comes up from the river with a garbage bag loaded with about 40lbs of
THIS

He seems quite chuffed with himself...
the river below is littered with the gutted machines whose genetic fitness will never be expressed in countless generations
And so we're poorer again today
DONE and DONE

So judging by the amount of roe that d- bag had he was over his limit if he even had a license I swear give me a ba(d)ge a gun and a ticket book

That's crazy. With the amount of roe that some of these guys take, you'd think they run a black market or something.

So do people buy this shit? Why does he have so much. Maybe I am just really sheltered but if a guy came up to me with a bag and asked if I wanted to buy roe, I would tell him to f*ck off.

I have seen stuff like this before and it makes me sick.

Disgusting. Hope the ministry was called and they throw the book at the the poacher. Depressing. I get tired of watching the snaggers who say " just want a hen for some roe" or " this one's for my neighbour"

Based on # of bags of roe, looks equivalent to or less than a legal limit. Remember that female chinook will have 2 giant slabs of skein each.

No meat in the pic, but that doesn't mean that it's not still in his possession. A lot of guys separate roe on the river. Smart thing to do, you can water harden it and make the curing process easier.

But yeah, go ahead and nail the guy to the cross :???:

Thanks CC I'm totally disgusted right now... after a long and rewarding day on the river, now after pounding back some beers almost seem sentimental enough to cry :( no joke dead serious...

on a good note my 8 year old legitimately hooked and landed his first nook... pops sure knows how to pick the pools ;-)

I count at least 5 zip-lock bags of row = to at least 5 massive females or more and that's with heavy beer goggles on

It does look like a legal limit but nobody needs that much roe unless their drifting golfball sized skien 5 days a week all winter long.

No beer goggles that's a crap load if roe we need to have much stricter laws when it comes to how we come Into possession of roe because he According to chase Discarded the carcass of the salmon in the river is some places that's considered want and waste and is punishable By a huge fine or we just need to put an outright ban on roe because this is sickening and is why I don't even fish for salmon any more

today I took a 30lbs female full of loose roe that = to half to 3/4 of one of those zip lock bags and that does me the entire year of a outing or 2 a week 20+ roe bags each time... this is just really sad

and she will not go out in vain as she will feed my dog... the only fish I will keep all year I might add

I too do not partake in the Salmon shitteshow Madriver. I have a friend I fish with, he drives, I don't. When he decides he wants to fish Salmon I do go along. Repressing the urge to puke when I see and smell all the gutted Salmon carcasses I stay away from all the "Salmon anglers" and seek out other species on the trib like Chrome, Browns and Bass that hang around in different areas than the spawning Salmon. It is amazing what you can catch on a crowded trib in some small areas totally over-looked by the Salmon fraternity.

Hope you called the MNR CC, I'm always advocating calling them. Maybe they won't get your guy but maybe they will show up the next day and get a bunch of others. I know because I have seen it work, repeated calls about one place does get them out. I know they are under staffed so this is less than a perfect solution but it may deter the goons in the future and it may also deter some wanna be goons if they see this happening.
Although I don't mind using roebags, I don't buy them and I don't keep many fish (and never a hen) my friends often have a few extras they will give me. There are plenty of alternatives, I carry an assortment of yarn in yellow, orange and pink and this seems to produce as well as the real thing.

Alfie.
