Hi.

I previously had bought a 104 piece stik o kit from BPS. I went through a lot of them. Then I was buying packs of 8 or 10 from yum or lunkerhunt in the colours I found worked best.

But what would really be nice is if there was a store that sold them in bins sorted by colour so I could pick and choose by colour and by how many I wanted.

Know of any tackle shops like this?

I live in the west end but am always driving places so I could stop by a shop on the way to somewhere.

Thanks.

You can try one of those DIY kits if you're interested in senko type baits. Apparently it gets really cheap after a while.

I bought the yum 4" ones for 2.99 at sail the other day to see if I was overpaying for real deal yama senkos. So far so good.

interesting concept.

ya i once bought yamamotos. super soft. not sure if they helped me catch more fish but they basically fell apart after a single fish tugged on it.

I ran through almost every color of senkos...if there are senkos out there that i haven't tried, it just meant bps, sail, lebaron don't sell them. i found 4 colours that worked best 4 me and that's the only colors i buy now. o rings help made my senkos last. and i actually remove the ring when i'm done fishing and next time i take that certain senko, it looks like the forms goes back to normal.

O rings? Can you elaborate?

P.s. Blackblue, pumpkin, watermelon, ???

O ring...rubber ring that slides over the senko; the ring is then placed over the hook end, so the senko is never penetrated by the hook, and, therefore should last longer. Used mostly for wacky-rigging. Sold at most tackle shops.
Also, I think the reason you rarely find loose, individual senkos is because most senko-type plastics have a lot of impregnated scent that you would lose if they were exposed to air for any length of time.
There are a lot of different "senko-makers" out there, and the selection- and seemingly, price-is endless. As with any thing tackle-related, go with the ones which give you the most confidence. I too use a few tried and true colours, but when I go to a tackle shop that has some real bargains, I usually pick up a few new colours/brands to check out.
Right now, for example, TSC stores are getting out of the fishing business and all of their stuff is half price. Most stores are pretty picked over, but I managed to grab a few packs to try out.
