We're heading up to camp on the northern part of the lake this week. We'd like to do some walleye fishing and haven't fished this lake before. We have a fully rigged walleye boat. Can anyone help with bait selection and good spots to try? How well does trolling work on this lake?

Have never fished there myself, but I would bring the essentials: jigs, grubs, worms, minnows, etc I would also bring along some pike baits (spoons, spinners & spinnerbaits, jerkbaits, etc) in case if you run into some gators. As for trolling (if you have a fishfinder) look for structures, and look for shallow-to-deep drop offs, deep & shallow weedbeds, you'll probably find some fish that way.

I don't know much about fishing for walleye on that lake but I do know that if I were going there I would be fishing for pike instead!

You're going to a world class pike fishery... many many 40+ inchers in there!
