Has anyone ever made a net out of a old tennis racquet? I was thinking of converting a old racquet into one. Thought it might be a fun little project. Also might try a badminton racquets. Thought the sizes would be good for small streams and creeks.

Any feedback or suggestions.

I have 2 old Tennis racquets myself. was thinking the same thing but haven't put much thought about it. Where can you get the net material?

Most fishing stores will carry replacement netting, canadian tire carrys different meshes in bulk and most aquaculture stores will have some sort of tight woven mesh netting available in bulk.. All depends on what you'd want to use I guess

I was thinking for the badminton one ( use for brookies...etc...etc... ) Maybe trying the mesh laundry bags women buy for there delicates. I don't think it would have to be to strong for brookies, and if it can survive going there the wash it just might work. Also the finer mesh I thought would/ or could be better on the fish.

For the tennis racquet I was thinking some replacement mesh from BP or CT. I will use the holes from the racquet to tie up the mesh.

Now I have to find a old aluminum badminton racquet.

For an aluminium badminton racket go to a local high school and ask the PE head for one they've junked.
