Thank god OFF is back up. I was going through serious OFF withdrawl. It was like a guy quitting coffee...but way worse.

bastards lol
Miserable bastards, I might add.
Talk about withdrawal, I have been out of town away from my computer for 8 of the last 9 weeks. Away for 10days, home for 2, away for 14 etc. I came home after 9 days in the Soo to find the site down for the last week. I tried every day but no luck logging in.
Glad you guys are back. I missed you all.
Like it or not you can look forward to hearing from me, our next few jobs are local. I look forward to hearing from everyone and enjoying OFF as I always have in the past.

Alfie.

I think I speak for us all when I say that we enjoy hearing you. :D Let the mighty Alfi knowledge flow!

did you fish up there alfie?
Well, it goes like this. The 1 time I didn't take my gear with me up to The Soo. Given that my work is outdoors and that it is winter up there, I didn't think I would get a chance.
Turns out our material was shipped to a trucking company that isn't open on week-ends. We arrived Friday night and could get no material until Monday. I cursed and swore all day Sat and then invented new swear words Sun  I even tryed to kick myself in the asss and realized that is a physical impossibility.
The 7 of us did have fun though and consumed a few drinks ;) And even got out beerbogganing
I didn't even venture down to the St Marys for a look, just being nearby was enough of a tease. At least I know it will still be there next spring, and so will my Speck lakes and rivers, but never will I go there without my fishing gear ever again.
On a more somber (not sober) note, I did manage to visit the point overlooking Lake Superior where my good friend and fishing partner, Joes ashes were scattered earlier this year and a couple of us drank a big bottle of his favorite Wisers Deluxe and shared stories of our times with him while we sat around a warm fire. I'm pretty sure a few shots went into the big lake for him.

Is it just my LT, I'm still finding loading OFF painfully slow, Especially between pages, sometimes my browser stops loading and says Internet Explorer can't open the page. Anyone else getting this on IE8?
