Was on the grand today and the action was slow all morning. A few baby smallies taking my bait, until noon. It was nearing my time to leave and have lunch, so since nothing good was biting I put on a catfish rig and a dead minnow, casted out, and waited...for 3 minutes. I was holding my rod when I felt a bump on my line. I set the hook, and BAM he takes off. He took off 10 yards of line, with my rod bent right over. I started getting a handle on the big boy when he took off another 10 yards + of line. (10 yards is good for a catfish) ;-). I finally got it in after quite a fight, and he had to have the biggest head of any fish that I've ever seen. I have caught monster pussies about 5 inches longer than him, but they had a way smaller head than this one.

On with the pictures!!!!!!

Nice story man, thanks for sharing.

I love the crowd you gathered over your catch. Photobombed.

It's funny how non-fisher people love seeing a nice sized fish.
