I was out float fishing earlier this week, and things were off to a slow start catching the ocasional chub drifting roe under a float. I wasnt planing on staying past dark as i hadn't packed a flash light. As the sun begun to fall i put on an a larger sized bag tied in a bight color and WHAM! The salmon hit it as soon as it hit the water. The fish came off after a minute or two and I begun casting again in the same area and it wasnt long before it hit again and put up a really good fight diving down to the bottom of this deep pool.

The next morning I went out again to a different location drifting home cured roe in a pool of 6-8 salmon, they refused to take the bait so I continued to the next pool. On the second drift there was a hit and my reel started screaming as the fish took off up stream. Eventually i caught up with the fish in my waders and landed it on the far side of the river, happy to see that it's a fresh chinook hen
