Has anyone fished the tributary @ Thornbury ON? Its looks quite nice there from Google maps, but is a bit of a drive from Waterloo. Is it worth the trip? (generally speaking).

The fish run this year has been very poor.

I wouldn't bother. Not worth the drive imo.

I fished the beaver on the weekend with good success. Very few fish visible from the shores but they were certainly in the pools. once you found them.
P.S. the best sections of the river close the end of September.

If you go, go before sunrise an go to the lake only. Nothing in and up the river. The fish is still sitting at the lakes edge for the rain.
