Hey Folks.
Been looking around the forum and I see that a lot of people interested in learning more about fishing.
I will say that if you can join up with a fishing club in your area. Not all clubs are the same. Some are seriously competitive and guard their tips tricks and information. Other clubs are more focused on fishing and learning.
I always caught fish but when I started fishing with a bass club I started to learn how to really fish. I left my boat at home and went as a non boater which ment I would show up at the boat ramp and draw the name of the boater I would go out with that day. Even if I was paired with someone who has a style opposite to mine I always learned so much not to mention that I learned about different lakes.
Yah we put a few bucks down for big fish and biggest bag similar to the bantering you get on a golf green and I pass on 20 to 30bucks to the boater to help with gas it is still amazingly cheap day.
All a new angler has to do is contact their local fishing club.
If its a boater non boater club then your good to go. If you don't have all the gear most boaters I know in the coangler clubs will dip into their tackle lockers and pass you the toools so you can have a successful day as well.
If you're interested in learning more about fishing I'd recommend that you contact a fishing club in your area.
If your around the Thousand Islands check out the T.I.BASSMASTERS club
